Irreversible redaction
Attorney-initiated claw-back is permanent. The audit log records who, when, privilege type, and segment IDs — never the content itself. Audio timestamps are preserved, the text is not.
The attestation gate
No document finalizes without counsel's logged attestation against their professional credentials. Output reads "Preliminary Analysis" — never "Conclusion" — and finalization is irrevocable.
Matter-isolated by design
Every matter is its own sealed knowledge base — no shared corpus, ever. Firm-level isolation is enforced in the database with row-level security; ethical walls in the application.
Privilege-aware logging
No privileged content ever reaches application logs — errors record IDs and types only. All model calls route through paid-tier APIs under contractual no-training terms.

Three privilege-clean inference modes. If a mode is unavailable, Gravitas fails loud — it never quietly routes your matter to the cloud.
On-Device
Inference runs entirely on the device with hardware acceleration; nothing touches the cloud. Each result is signed against a canonical-bytes contract before it is persisted.
On-Premise
The model runs on the firm's own machine via a local runtime bridged to the app. The matter's data stays on your hardware — no external API is ever called.
Cloud API
Cloud inference runs only with explicit, per-call consent, on a paid tier whose terms forbid training on your data. Decline, and the call fails loud — never a silent fallback.
